Is the filter cartridge dust collector installed horizontally? Or vertically? In the process of selecting a dust collector, have you ever encountered a situation where you don’t know how to choose?
1. The horizontal design filter cartridge has unique air flow organization
The horizontal installation design is a sinking flow design, that is, the upper part enters the air and the lower part exits the air. When the pulse blows back, the dust is stripped from the surface of the filter element and falls under the influence of gravity. The direction of the dust falling is the same as the direction of the air intake airflow, which is more conducive to the dust settlement.
For the vertical installation design, the air intake mode is from the bottom (or from the side), and the falling direction of dust is opposite to the direction of the air flow, which is likely to cause secondary dust in the ash hopper, which is not conducive to the whereabouts of dust.
2. Horizontal design filter cartridge has lower operating energy consumption
Traditional filter cartridge dust collectors generally use compressed air to shake off the dust on the surface of the filter cartridge, so as to clean the surface of the filter material of the filter cartridge. For the vertically mounted filter cartridge, since the falling direction of the dust is opposite to the direction of the airflow, inevitable secondary dust is generated, and the dust of the secondary dust will be adsorbed to the surface of the filter cartridge again, so that the filter cartridge is not completely cleaned. This results in high differential pressure for the filter cartridge to operate, which in turn results in higher operating energy consumption and shorter cartridge life.
The horizontal-mounted filter cartridge solves the problem of secondary dust. The horizontal installation is designed to blow back one set of filter cartridges with one valve (up to 2 filter cartridges), and the vertical installation is designed to blow back multiple sets of filter cartridges with one valve. Obviously, the design of one valve blowing one set of filter cartridges is more beneficial Clean the dust on the surface of the filter cartridge, thus effectively prolonging the service life of the filter cartridge.
The dust cleaning system allows the compressed air to enter the inner surface of the filter cartridge smoothly and unimpeded after injection, without energy loss, sudden turning or diffuse injection of volume change. And the unique back-blowing design pays special attention to the path of compressed air, so that the energy of compressed air can be effectively and evenly distributed on the surface of the filter material, so that the energy of the dead corner in the traditional back-blowing structure is higher, making the back-blowing and dust removal more efficient, and making the filter more efficient. Cartridges continue to have higher filtration efficiency
3. The horizontal filter cartridge has more convenient maintenance characteristics
When replacing the filter cartridge of the horizontal-mounted filter cartridge dust collector, you only need to unscrew the end cover without any tools, and the operation is humanized.
When replacing the filter cartridge of the vertical-mounted filter cartridge dust collector, it is necessary to open the large inspection door on the side panel of the dust collector to fully expose the dirty air chamber. When the filter element is replaced, the dust is easy to spread in a large area, causing the maintenance space to be dirty and messy, and it is extremely time-consuming , very unfriendly to operators. Some vertically mounted filter cartridges even require maintenance personnel to enter the dirty air chamber to replace the filter cartridge. Moreover, the large inspection door has stricter sealing requirements.
4. Horizontal design filter cartridge has better sealing performance
There is no independent support frame inside the vertically installed filter cartridge, and it is completely fixed by the top bracket and sealing plate. After a long time of use, due to the weight of the filter cartridge after it is loaded with dust, the seal structure will have a gap under the action of gravity, resulting in Dust leaks from these gaps into the clean air plenum, resulting in substandard emissions.
There is an independent filter cartridge bracket inside the horizontal filter cartridge dust collector, which can effectively prevent the seal from loosening due to the increased load of the filter cartridge, thereby ensuring the sealing and discharge performance of the whole machine.
5. The horizontal-mounted filter cartridge dust collector has a safer operating environment
Vertical-mounted dust collectors can only be equipped with explosion vents on the side. When there are other equipment and artificial passages near the installation position of the dust collector, side-installed explosion vents will no longer be applicable (or other safety isolation measures need to be added).
The horizontal-mounted dust collector has multiple options. You can choose to install the explosion vent plate on the side, or you can choose to install the explosion vent plate on the top. When the installation position of the dust collector is limited, you can choose to install the explosion vent plate on the top of the dust collector. Thereby ensuring that the explosion vent channel is unimpeded. The multiple advantages of the horizontal design of the filter cartridge will better solve the industrial dust removal problems you face.
